If he brought me a box of Krispy Kremes in lieu of fine chocolates I'd do him on the spot. Oh hell, I'd do him without the donuts, but I've never been known to turn down a bit o' fried dough. To comment on how he keeps eating things, I thought at first he might have had an ulcer. He eats all the time like he's never full, he carries antacids... you get the picture. They never really said anything about this, though. Just a thought.

It's actually just a common stereotype of crime dramas, methinks. The chief in charge always seems to be eating, if you've watched Inspector Frost with David Jason you should know what I mean.

I haven't seen that, but I do know what you're talking about. It would be interesting to write the creators and see why exactly he was doing it and who really came up with it. I wonder if we'd get an answer back.
