Cheeky Time Agent meets cheeky Time Lord and wackiness ensues!

May I squee?

If the whole episode hadn't been good, it would have been good enough because of this bit:

"You've got a hand! A hand in a jar! A hand! In jar!"

"Th-th-th-th-that's my hand!"

BWAHAHAHA!!!!

Love that we got Jack backstory. Loved the snark between the Doctor and Jack. So, when do we get Ten/Jack smoochies? Poor Martha keeping on trying to bring Jack back to life. "Was someone kissing me?" I couldn't have been the only one who thought Jack was going to get naked when he took his shirt off, am I right?

I was vaguely spoiled about John Simm being the Master, but I didn't know about the Derek Jacobi bit first. From what little we saw here, I think he's going to be everything the Master should have been but never was. The Master was never my favorite, that's for sure. Far too cartoon villain-y for me. But I think this one will be fun.

Is it next Saturday yet?

*bounces happily*

Well, if we go by precedent, there's Jack/Doctor hugging in one epsiode (check!) and Jack/Doctor kissing in the next! So we're all set for next week.

If I didn't die from all the pretty, I died from the brilliant twist - did not see the fob watch returning! ZOMG! And Jacobi and Simm as The Master. Genius.

I didn't see the fob watch returning either. I thought that was really cool and did a great job tying the back episodes into something more coherent this season. Although I loved what was happening from episode to episode, I didn't get a sense that they were connected and now it's beginning to happen. I can't wait for the last two episodes.

I loved the John Smith/Professor Yana parallel, and it opens up a world of fanfic opportunities by showing us that The Master should have been a loveable good guy, prepared to sacrifice himself to let the others get the Utopia. Yay! ^^

This episode owns me.

I'm not sure which bit was my favorite; there are so many lovely moments to make me go squee! I totally thought that Jack would get at least down to his bare chest! It would be a tribute to season one! *imagines Jack with a bare chest, trousers, and suspenders. Oo.*

But I think this one will be fun.

John Simm has the intensity and the passion and the spark to make the Master really a terrible and awesome character.

Ha, it was excellent. The Hand In A Jar was my absolute favourite bit. It was quite surreal and just my sort of humour when the Doctor saw him etc.

Also, I was like "CLAUDIUS! THAT IS CLAUDIUS!" And he said something about being revered as a god, and I snerked. Yes. I am that geeky.

Wandered here for icons, but decided to comment on the commentary.

The Master was never my favorite either, because I always he had so much more potential. Even Eric Roberts continued with the camp. But John Simm seems to be bringing out the best in the Master.

Not only did I think that Jack was going to get naked, but hoped he would. Darn. Oh Jack. It's so good to see you again. The less angsty you anyway.
