I did two more drabbles for [livejournal.com profile] open_on_sunday this week, topic "changes":

Angel didn’t mind some of the changes. The filing system finally made sense, and Wesley made exceptionally good coffee, but a man could take only so much helpfulness and tidiness—alive or undead.

Now Wesley was giving him one of those “what did I tell you, mister?” looks. “What?” Angel asked.

“Nothing. If you want to ruin perfectly good furniture I won’t stop you.” Wesley replied.

Uh-oh. No coaster under his mug. Angel rectified it at once.

“Happy?” Angel asked.

“Quite.” Wesley said, and Angel knew he really was. Angel stopped complaining after that—well, he complained less, that is.

Spike did his best to stay entertained in his changed state. Sneaking up and scaring people was fun, although the brighter ones soon caught on.

Wesley was the brightest. Once Spike could move things by concentrating he would float in invisibly behind Percy’s back, move one precious volume, and immediately hear that cool voice, “If you’re just going to be a nuisance Spike, I’d rather you leave.”

Spike thought he finally would shock him by sneaking a hand to the front of Wesley’s trousers—then he discovered Wesley was already hard.

“It’s about time you made yourself useful.” Wesley sighed.

Both great but I could just hear Wes saying that last line in a bored drawl and it cracked me up; brilliant1

I laughed out loud at the second drabble. Spike trying to fool Wes? Don't think so. But I'm sure he had fun trying.

These are both lovely, but the ghost Spike and Wes one was wickedly delicious. I do love that Wes had the upper hand, so to speak.

Thanks!

You know that Spike's a stubborn one, but he's met his match in Wes.

Thank you!

Wesley's a smart one. No way he'd pass up an opportunity like that!
