May. 19th, 2009 10:39 amWe just got a DVD of Maya Deren's films and it included her husband Alexander Hammid's short film The Private Life of a Cat. I'd seen it before online but I just had to watch it again. Here 'tis for those who haven't seen it. It's very sweet. Warning for scenes of real kitten birthin'! B&W, no sound.

1. Stop talking about politics for a moment or two.
2. Post a reasonably-sized picture in your LJ, NOT under a cut tag, of something pleasant, such as an adorable kitten, or a fluffy white cloud, or a bottle of booze. Something that has NOTHING TO DO WITH POLITICS.
3. Include these instructions, and share the love.

It esplains it all, liek teh cookies dramas: Kittehs have been known to make cookies for their hoomins on occasion, but seem unable to resist eating the cookie before presenting it. And pay attention to teh wee pics to teh right. Diabeetus made me LOL, much to teh distain of teh kitteh in mah lapz.

Dec. 14th, 2007 12:25 amThose of you who watch kittypix have probably been following this story, but if you haven't, please take a look at simplykimberly's posts about one of her sweet foster kittens, Roo, who is battling a serious respiratory ailment and may not make it. The little guy seems to be fighting as hard as he can, but I'm sure he could use all the good thoughts, prayers, and healthy vibes he can get. Keep this sweet boy in your thoughts and will him to recover quickly! You can also donate toward his medical care if you like.
Then, go hug your kitties, or doggies, or ferrets, or whatever critter(s) you love and care for. Good night!
