Slowly but surely, I'm getting them all.
dawnie1970 asked for Wesley and Gunn and basketball. AtS S2-ish, rated G, 200 words. I know squat about basketball, but I did my best! :P
Gunn shook his head as Wesley chased another runaway basketball off the court.
“Damn, Wes, I don’t get it. You’re tall, you got decent co-ordination, you keep in shape—even though you’re the whitest dude on the block, I thought you’d get the hang of this by now.”
Wesley tossed him the ball and they resumed the game. “I wasn’t much for team games. My sport of choice was fencing. I developed invaluable skills: grace, agility, precision handling of a deadly weapon.”
“Good to know, ‘cause there’s a Drib demon right behind you.” Gunn said.
“Where?” Wesley spun around. Gunn zoomed past him and made the basket.
Wesley rolled his eyes. “That was mature.”
“I got you good, English!” Gunn whooped.
Wesley folded his arms. “Really? As good as that Tarmlaw beast is about to get you?”
Gunn laughed. “You might be dumb enough to fall for that--” He was interrupted as the Tarmlaw beast’s tail knocked him to the ground.
Wesley reached for his bag and pulled out a sword. Gunn scrambled up and grabbed the beast’s tail as Wesley dealt the death blow.
“Are we even?” Wesley asked.
Gunn nodded and caught his breath. “Yeah. We’re even.”
