Seriously folks, your dog does not like wearing shit like this. Dogs put up with it because they love you and would do anything in the world to get love and treats to make you happy, but unless your dog is hairless and/or has an incontinence problem, it doesn't need to be wearing pants. No dresses, no pants, no booties, no hats, no sunglasses. Let them be naked and happy. Thank you.

My mother's dogs liked wearing sweaters (they only wore them when it was freezing outside because they both got sick easily) to the point where you had to fight with Max to get him to let you take it off of him--he'd have cheerfully worn them 24/7--but at least she only put them on him when she took him out for his walk.

Also, Max was a freak in *so many ways.*

Okay, I can maybe see some dogs tolerating wearing a soft, warm cozy sweater in the winter, but if it's got matching footwear, headgear, and britches, that's gone way to far in demeaning their doggy dignity.

I also would never use either of those dogs as examples of what normal dogs would do. They were both seriously just insane. (And the sweaters, my mother hated. But after the second time both dogs wound up at the vets' with pneumonia, their vet suggested sweaters, and sweaters it was.)

I am not sure what could induce me to put a *bikini* on a dog, though.

My mom made our dog Lola a sweater, and started to make Talyn one too. Mom always goes out walking, and in the winter there's a lot of snow and they're small dogs and it's cold so they gotta get warm somehow.

Lola actually really likes her sweater. If you pick it up she'll get all happy and won't leave you alone until you put it on her.

But, yeah, I don't get why people have to dress their dogs up in random stuff just because it's fashionable.

Ha ha ha ha ha! That's awful. Poor dog. Mine would revolt. When Schnapps was suffering from the worst of her allergies, we had to wrap her completely in person clothes, from the tips of her toes/tail to her ears. It involved creative use of socks, tshirts, and boxers. Everyone was miserable, and I can't imagine trying to voluntarily put clothes on your pet unless medically necessary. *shakes head*

Oh, dear...I pity the dog made to wear that. People really need to get lives and quit anthropomorphizing their critters. I refer to my cats as my children/kids but am not going to dress them up in cute little costumes on them and treat them like they're really little human beings in full-body fur coats. They are cats and dogs are dogs. If you want to play dress-up, use a doll.
